2008 Award Winner for Residential Construction $25,000-$50,000
This landscape project transformed a sloping, unsightly back yard living space into an inviting, natural retreat. The yard was leveled for the small tumbled paver patio area and white pine and hemlock were introduced to complement the natural setting created by existing birches.
Gardens were designed with shade tolerant plant material, flanked by a weathered limestone bubbling water feature. The pressure-treated deck was the original outdoor living space. It was renovated with maintenance free, composite Trex decking - a must for the client. Cedar wood privacy screens were designed to block the neighbouring property and were suspended from the upper scrolled beams to allow for spacing to avoid the feel of a solid wall.
The project was completed with an irrigation system, landscape lighting and natural stone benches to ensure a low maintenance, inviting, natural retreat for years to come.
